Every instance I've done, I've loved. I can't wait to start raiding for gear. You play for enjoyment, and if you enjoy instances then it doesn't matter it's replaced. It's a game...not freakin' RL.

Enjoy the ride to 70 if you haven't gotten there, because once you get there your guild leader will want to raid and will magically turn into this guy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtvIYRrgZ04 (get used to it, pretty much every raid is like this) Also, never think you're going to clear a raid instance the first time, get used to seeing the same thing. PvP? Well... Let's just say it's gone down hill with the addition of battlegrounds, yes they are awesome. The problem was that you received to large of a reward for being in a BG, so everyone just farms them (or used to). So world PvP is rare in comparison to what it used to be, when I first started playing capital cities were raided on a daily basis "just for fun".
I realize GW isn't the first to use achievements/titles or whatever you want to call them, and has quite a few flaws of it's own. I just think we're starting to see a pattern, first WoW gets in on the tournament thing, and now we see "achievements". Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have a vendetta against Blizzard but in the MMO department they aren't exactly a unique snowflake.

Why are people saying getting max level in GW is a good thing? You paid $40 for a game, I would expect to get a good 1-2 months of good gaming out of it. By 2 days, you have max armor, max level, max whatever. The rest, you say, is simply "optional".
Is there a point of playing PvE then?

Well the PvE game plays like other RPGs, so level cap is irrelevant when you're doing quests and missions and filling in pieces of the story. So the point to PvE would be finishing it I guess. Like it's been said in the past, GW really wasn't meant to be played like it is today, they expected people to beat it and go PvP, or just stop all together and wait for an expansion.

I agree, it's not a bad move from them to extend playtime but it feels slightly ripped off from GW.
That doesn't really suprise me though. Most of WoW's features are already borrowed from the other games in the genre. They rarely, if ever, break the ice by bringing something new and unseen.
Level grind + title grind, this game will last longer than GW it seemes atleast for the hardcore folk who can't stand not to have everything maxed.

As for GW, afaik the only place you will rly be frowned upon for not having grinded a pve title is DoA w/ the lightbringer title, all other places pugs will just ask for your norn rank and from what i see they take from r8-10, and r8 is only 1/2 way thought the points needed to 10. That IF YOU WANT TO PUG, if you dont you CAN perfectly get a guild or friends group and do any part of the game w/o ever touching pve sklls.
Lets see wow again, get lvl70 green-blue gear from quests and try casting a spell or atack a boss at the black temple(wich you will only have access after a giant series of stance quests but lets pretend its ffa), only thing ull do is MISS, same cenario w/ a tank and ull die in the first hit, same thing w/ healer ull heal for 1/4th or less the amounth you should be healing, you wont "fall back behind others" due to 33% less dmg or 10 points of dmg absorption gainst one mission, ull be a useless **** w/ absolutly no use or chance of success unless u decide to grind your soul out to keep up. PvP, the same thing, iirc pvp gear had 1-3 times the amount of hp a lvl 70 character had, not to mention the other MANY mods that will make a newly reached lvl 70 look like a lvl 1 pig when fighting someone w/ avarage gear (read: gear that took a rly long time to grind).
Just out of curiosity, how far in wow are you? dont think you have hit the Grind Wall on wow just yet, it is HUGE and there is absolutly no way around it exept maybe w8n for the next expansion where quest reward itens will be more powerful then the epic gear Death&Taxes and Nihiliun managed to get and the casual player will finally be able to storm the old top instances and kill the bosses for shits n gigles since they wont pose any chalange.
Litle revision of my part:
wow 2-3 months to get to 70 and fool yourself that you are at the same lvl of power of other lvl70s that dedicate their lives to the game(thorugh some serious Grind) and will actualy have a shot at high end pve/pvp
In gw it takes me 2 days tops to get a newly created char to 20, max armor, weap and all skills i want in pve, and be able to do all end content after doing some req missions. While falling slightly back to other players that grinded pve titles.
Back in topic: dont see why they cant add titles, if anything is something more to do, and something more to ignore if you just dont care.

Show me where i edited, please, all i did was answer.
So you play 2 days, get max armor max anything, now you are done tgamin, all you can doi now is go for titles, or farm... WoW well spend money
Don't get me wrong here, i also like GW, ubt when people have say WoW has more grind than GW, they clearly haven't played WoW before, Yes in the first 1½ year it was grind, but games changes, so has WoW.
And i think it's weird WoW is introducing titles. doesn't really give any meaning, titles are only for grind.
The black temple example is so full of fail, Black temple are for HARDCORE raiders, not for casuals, hence a undergeared would die, ofcourse, ok, my characters, i got an arena druid with ½ S1 gear, not that far with him, i got a warrior tank that is doing Kara, i got a hunter that's level 66.
See the problem is, HARDCORE people grind, us casuals DOES NOT grind, there is a choice, i can see why you don't understand it. you are tireds of WoW after playing it lots, but that doesn't mean you should talk bad about it, i don't look down of GW just because i'm tired of it.

ok,here we go:
It wasn't Blizzard who blocked Anet from getting the auction house,it was the lazy devs from Anet itself(or it is imposible to program ,whatever)
Guildwars wasn't the first game that uses achievements,so Blizzard isn't ripping of anything.
Thought that was too obvious to explain.

Well, Dungeons, or you could do that thing that A-net intended to be the end-game content, you know, PVP!

Oooo arguing about which game has more grind, what a riveting and intelligent discussion.
WoW didn't steal from GW. GW didn't steal from WoW. They both stole from every MMO ever made.
WoW has more grind, but lots less than REAL Korean MMO's.
Can we close this now?

WotLK beta has this implemented already. It's a good system. Any achievement or title system which only gives fluff rewards is good in my book. It gives completionists and people with too much time something to do, and doesn't hurt if you don't spend time doing it(Title based skills can diaf)

I thought Bryant Again would be here. Anyway, I am glad I am not playing WoW again. I keep remembering what it was and it was quite fun at first from beta, but lost its goodness I guess and everything I was hoping for.
I was hoping for something like Alliance battles. Overtaking towns and so forth.
